Aims and Objectives of the SVCRA
1) To promote the issues relevant to the residents of the area of Swiss Valley.
2) To promote these issues in a manner which is non political and free from
external influences.
3) To work in partnership with local county and community councillors.
4) Whenever possible consider the promotion and conservation of the Welsh
language.
5) To work in line with the Equal Opportunities policy as laid out in Appendix A of
the SVCRA constitution. |
Recent SVCRA achievements have included:-
i) The formal adoption of the sites’ drainage system by Dŵr Cymru – however, it must be said that persistence by past members of the association and others over many years produced this eventual outcome.
ii) Clean access to the upper ravine area of the site with the construction of a footpath.
iii) The annual display of lights on a Christmas tree sited near the Swiss Valley shops. |
Current SVCRA project:- Spring 2010
To make the area surrounding the Swiss Valley shops safer and aesthetically more appealing.
This is being undertaken in partnership with the Llanelli Rural Council.
